As many of you know, the ABA launched a survey in March, to get feedback from the bowhunters of Alberta on the 3 SRD proposals for 2011 that will impact bowhunters and bowhunting. They are 1) standardized start dates to the archery season 2) allowing crossbows in the archery seasons 3) creating a muzzleloader season. I have delivered app 700 surveys thus far to SRD.
We are now blitzing as many archery shops as we can across the province to get more feedback -- we need to hear from as many bowhunters as possible on these very important issues. We will be having a booth at Edmonton's HuntFest Aug 6-8 as well. The survey is once again in our latest newsletter, has been circulated to our affiliated clubs and thru our membership email list.
Surveys can be picked up at the following:
Lane Archery -- Lethbridge
Calgary Archery Center -- Calgary
Jim Bows -- Calgary
Red Deer Archery Center -- Red Deer
Pipestone Creek Archery -- Millet
Sherwood Park Archery Lanes
Trophy Book -- Spruce Grove
Stony Creek Outfitters -- Whitecourt
Big Timber Archery -- Grande Prairie
You can also get them on our website --
www.bowhunters.ca along with all the information on these and the other 2011 SRD Proposals, updates on meetings with SRD/stakeholders and the results of the survey to date.
