Specs Typo? http://bowzone.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=16267&goto=newpost Tue, 15 May 2012 15:15:11 GMT I picked up a very cool bow on ebay a few months ago. It is a 1960s Colt's Pat. Firearms Mfg. Co. Inc. "Woodsmaster". Except for a little wear on the hair rest, it looks like it just came from the shop. All I could find out about this bow is that it was made by Wing.

This bow didn't have a string, so I ordered two based on the A.M.O. specs, which were 58" and 51# at 28" draw weight. The two flemish strings were 55" and 54". Both of them turned out to be way too long, longer than the bow itself, in fact. When I finally measured the bow, it turns out it is only 52" long! The A.M.O. specs on it are wrong.

Has this ever happened to you?

The irony is I just sold a 52" Bear Kodiak Magnum because I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with it.
