For a third year in a row, Cochrane, Alberta writer, T.J. Schwanky, has captured top honours in the Outdoor Writers of Canada National Awards for a Magazine Feature on Hunting. He took top honours this year for an article that appeared in the March, 2008 edition of Alberta Outdoorsmen, titled When Desire Overcomes Fear. Schwanky also took third place in the Magazine Hunting category, second place in the Magazine Fishing category and third place in the Ducks Unlimited Wetlands Appreciation Award. Schwanky was also part of a group of writers that captured a Gold Award at the 2009 National Magazine Awards for an article that appeared in Outdoor Canada magazine.
