AHEIA SUMMER CAMPS FOR YOUTH
Each summer, the Alberta
Hunter Education Instructors’
Association (AHEIA) offers a
number of very popular camps
for youth. AHEIA camps are a
great way for young people to
build outdoor skills, earn certifcations and make
new friends. Check out the list of summer camps
below and fnd the one that’s right for you. The
camps fll up fast, so make sure to register early.
Youth Hunter Education Camp
Camp Dates: July 6-10, July 13-17, July 20-24
Description: Learn the tools and techniques of
hunting and fshing from top notch instructors and
become trained to earn certifcations in the Alberta
Conservation and Hunter Education Program, and
the Canadian Firearms Safety Course. Participants
will have the opportunity to write the certifcation
exams before the end of the camp. This camp is
for boys and girls at ages 12 to 17.
I.B.E.P. Archery Youth Camp
Date: July 27-30
Description: Discover the art of bowhunting at this
three-day camp led by experienced, highly skilled
archers. This camp will introduce the basics of
bowhunting, including different techniques
and tools needed to be a successful archer.
Participants in this camp will have the opportunity
to earn certifcation in the International Bowhunter
Educational Program. This camp is for boys and
girls at ages 12 to 19.
Outdoor Youth Seminar
Date: August 22-23
Description: This weekend seminar offers two
action-packed days of fun, adventure and learning
for young outdoor enthusiasts and their parents
or guardians. Participants can choose from a wide
selection of courses, including courses on archery,
rife shooting, canoeing, crossbow hunting, fshing,
GPS, shotguns, survival, trapping and more. This
camp is for boys and girls at ages 8 to 19.
All camps take place at the Alford Lake Conservation
Education Centre for Excellence. For more information,
