My first try

Well here it is, I'm finally just finishing my 1st whitetail. It's one that I harvested in 2005. Not the best but it's onwards & upwards...

doesnt look too bad, what do you figure you did wrong? Or what would you differently for your next one?

the eyes SUCK! not sure about the ears I've seen worse by "pro's"

I noticed the eyes seemed a little far back, but I am in no way one to criticize, I have yet to try, but I do want to learn. I will probably start next week, I have a pro who is going to instruct me.

Can you not undo the stitching and reset the eyes? If I remember it is possible to do if your careful. either way, i still thinkg you did a good job especially for your first try.

If you dont mind me asking, how did you tan the hide, and what did it cost you for the form?
