ABA Youth Award

In 1998 the Game Country Archers of Grande Prairie created and sponsored the ABA Youth Award. Since then it has grown tremendously and we now have co-sponsors who have joined in helping us celebrate the successes of our youth. Co-sponsors now include Whitetail Ridge Archery & Hunting, Hunting For Tomorrow, Jim Wilson (Stanley Hips Targets), Calgary Archery Center, the ABA. The entries are ranked according to the entry's score and it's percentage of the minimum of P&Y (for each species). The youth has to be an ABA member prior to the animal being harvested. Every youth who enters something - regardless of size, even antlerless -- gets a prize. The entries have to be sent in on the ABA Game Awards entry form. It is great to see their reaction and their pride in their accomplishment as they are recognized at the annual banquet.
