Get qualified training
Make sure your atv is registered and insured if applicable in your area or if you are going to be riding in an area (Alberta for example) that requires your ATV to be registered and insured.
Be courteous to all you meet
Know your owners manual
Preserve the environment
Always wear your helmet
Keep noise levels low
Ride off-road only, never on public roads
Respect riding area rules
Carry no passengers on an ATV designed for one person
Ride with others never alone
Always supervise youngsters
Protect your eyes and body
Ride straight no alcohol or drugs
Check the ATV before you ride
Lend your ATV to skilled riders only
Ride within your skills
Not only should you pack out what you pack in, but if you see litter on the trails, pick it up. Don't just leave it there.
