• Get qualified training
• Make sure your atv is registered and insured if applicable in your area or if you are going to be riding in an area (Alberta for example) that requires your ATV to be registered and insured.
• Be courteous to all you meet
• Know your owner’s manual
• Preserve the environment
• Always wear your helmet
• Keep noise levels low
• Ride off-road only, never on public roads
• Respect riding area rules
• Carry no passengers on an ATV designed for one person
• Ride with others – never alone
• Always supervise youngsters
• Protect your eyes and body
• Ride straight – no alcohol or drugs
• Check the ATV before you ride
• Lend your ATV to skilled riders only
• Ride within your skills
• Not only should you pack out what you pack in, but if you see litter on the trails, pick it up. Don't just leave it there.

Got anymore you think should be added to this list?

I don't have an ATV (YET) but i would have too say the most tragic stories I have herd over the last couple of seasons is people who have been drinking then go out for a rip without a helmet.... I know it's not street riding but these are two things that don't mix... Just my 2 cents...
