I am the kind of person that loves to share my things with others, you need a Quad, tent, and outdoor gear at all, then I am/was your go to guy. You can ask Yellowtrout, there is nothing that I own that I would not lend to a friend in need. Recently tho I have decided enough is enough. I figure I own it if you play on it, and break it you fix it.. sounds fair to me.. I recently I lent out my polaris 800 to a friend, i went the other day to pick it up for my hunting trip this weekend.. He says to me you have a torn cv boot you will have to fix it.. HMMM. Ok so maybe it was torn before he got it but, $40 to fix it would be a fair price for me lettng him use it. I get it home, fixed the cv, and when I was doing some work to the winch I noticed the rad was wet, the water level was low so I filled and started the quad, water poured out of the top of the rad. he had hit something hard and drove the rad out of the supports and into the frame. Aluminum rads can not be fixed so easy so I am looking at a $440 touch to replace the rad.. I called him he said I never hit anythng, but if there is anything I can do to help you, just call.. YA how about paying for it.. Anyway I just needed to *****.. looks like the big quad stays home this trip, I blew the dust off the 500.. it's like my old dog that gets one last moose trip...LOL

by the looks of the picture now would be a good time to check the front diff.

That sucks bdoa...I don't mind lending my stuff out but sure hate it when it comes back busted and the person has no idea what happened.

Same thing happened to a buddy of mine. Lent his quad out and it came back with a bent front bumper and two tires went flat. Of course "I didn't do that". If they are friends they should man up and say " I screwed up, sorry, I'll take care of it"

I too was the same way, if ya needed come and get it.
Now I feel like dick cause I have contracts printed up,it states what you must do if you break it and when will it be repaired, meaning give me a time line.. and I don't mean 2 weeks or a month...oddly enuff, nobody needs to use anything I have now LOL.....

I know I know, Don't lend your stuff out...but.... I just can't seem to say NO sometimes

as the guy that was usually on the borrowing side ... I had no problem with the "you break it you bought it" way of thinking

Mind you I am the kinda guy that would treat your stuff with respect and doesnt ride it as hard as i would if it were my own

That said ...S#!T happens and its cost me a repair bill or 2 in the past

Here's a good one that usually works and most won't ask again.

"Can I borrow your ................."

Can you afford to replace it if you total it ??

"Yes"

THEN GO BUY ONE !!!!!!
