Just wondering what aftermarket tires everyone is using? I want a new set for hunting season and am looking at Maxxis Bighorns. I found a smokin' deal on them. I am also thinking of ITP Mudlite XTR's.

Not sure how aggressive you're looking to get but I had a set of Sigma Mud Terrains (Les Schwab tires) that I got aftermarket through a GM dealer for my 97 Chev back in about 2000 and they were rated/warrantied for 80,000km and only $159/tire at the time. They were a decent lug tire but not too aggressive or noisy.

Cooper Discovery were good too (with a little less warranty) but great performance while within the warranty mileage. Definitely more noisy than the sigmas.

I have used bearclaw by kenda for years and they have never let me down the extra claws on the outside of the tire work very well in rutted out trails and they have a bead locker built into the tire takes a few KM to get them to seat proper but once they are seated they are never gonna move

ITP Mudlight XTR's are an excellent tire. I don't know about the bighorns...I've never used them.

The mudlites are a good proven design. They are not as aggessive as some of the mud tires out there but these will still ride nice on hard pack or any other type of terrian where some of the more aggesssive designs won't handle nearly as well.
