Just wondering, does anybody else take dogs along on thier hunts? I've got two Australian Cattle dogs that go with me on all my hunts from goats to moose. (except stand hunting)
I even started putting packs on "Hunter" and "Hoyt" last year.

Yep, when I used to live in B.C. my beagle used to accompany me for walks in the woods if I was out looking for deer. Here in Alberta though it's illegal to even be accompanied by a dog when big game hunting. Therefore the little beast is relegated to her kennel until it's time to run rabbits.

Dogs are illegal here in Manitoba as well. They can only be used during game bird and waterfowl seasons. Pretty tough to hunt with a bow and a dog anyway. They's spook more animals than they'd be worth at the close ranges.
