hey guy's

got a question about back tension..... I'm in the process of setting up my Commander and bit the bullet and got a new Carter Chocolate Lite (4 finger), I've been practicing with a string and loop rather than blind bailing but plan on starting that this week.

anyway....

what is the real difference in shooting it from a D loop or using the string that comes with it? wouldn't using the loop help to eliminate torque????

which do you guys prefer? D loop, or string(attached to release).

just from thinking about the dynamics, seems to me like the string would be the way to go but I'm FAR from an expert on this topic, like I said above I'm brand new to this back tension thing, so any and all advice are welcomed.

thanks again
Randy

I prefer a D-loop instead of a release rope because I hate nocks on my string and it is sometimes a pain in the ass to try and get the release rope to wrap around and attach it on to the jaw with on hand. D-loop is definatley the way to go! :hump:

well it's a thumb/back tension, not what they call a true back tension, but it's how I'm learning to shoot it.

Every release on the market can be shot ...and really should be shot using what most people call back tention ....

the choc lite is a thumb barrell release like my Target 3 ... I shot my T-3 using scapular motion
