1. Volunteers Wanted
FCA is searching for a Regional Indoor National Championship Programme Co-ordinator for 2008 (see job description below). Interested persons should contact Kathleen Millar, FCA Executive Director, at information@FCA.ca.

REGIONAL INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS CO-ORDINATOR
Your role is to manage FCA's Regional Indoor Championships. Within the Archery Canada system, direct responsibility for the planning, delivery and evaluation of activities related the championships. Contributing towards the development and delivery of the program in co-ordination with provincial volunteers.

Overall operation of the Regional Indoor programme including:
Leadership
- Recruit site co-ordinators in each province
- Recruit & select national resource people
- Orient & train volunteers for their roles, as necessary
- Liaise with other ACC members, FCA Board of Directors, & PSOs
- Communicate with participating clubs, archers & FCA's general membership

Implementation
- In conjunction with the national office, advertise event to FCA sanctioned clubs starting 5 months in advance
- Maintain online information about the event and prepare a host club package for distribution to host sites by the FCA office
- Notify FCA office of sites registered so the package can be sent out one month in advance of the event
- Address issues within the event
- Promote the event and its benefits
- Contribute regularly in the FCA's official electronic publications
- Provide written analysis of participation
- Publish unofficial results list 48 hours after the event
- Work with webmaster to ensure web site information for portfolio is correct
- Publish final list of participants and medallists 30 days after the event
- Work with membership chairperson to verify membership in good standing of all participants
- Recommend rule changes to FCA Board as appropriate
- Work with membership chairperson to verify membership in good standing of all participants
- Work with the FCA webmaster to transfer final results to the FCA website.
- Maintain procedures documentation

5. 2007 National Team Trials
The FCA High Performance Committee is pleased to announce that the national team trials for Senior FITA World Target Championships (Leipzig) and Pan American Games (Rio) will be held in Montréal on June 2-3-4, 2007.

The event will take place at Parc Pierre Bédard in Montréal. It will be a 3-day major event. Deadline date for registration is MAY 28, 2007. The registration form is available at: http://www.fca.ca/Exintro.html

Chinese Taipei, Korea, El Salvador and Russia win at Archery World Cup Stage 1 in Ulsan (KOR)

Individual Finals of Meteksan Archery World Cup Stage 1 in Ulsan (KOR)
The first stage of the Archery World Cup 2007 came to an end this afternoon with the individual bronze and gold medal matches taking place at the Munsu International Archery Centre in Ulsan, Korea. With Chinese Taipei, Korea, El Salvador and Russia, it is three continents that are represented among the winners of this first event. This event was a big success with live TV coverage and a large number of cheering spectators.

In Closing

Special offer to clubs who re-affiliate with FCA (through the PSO) in 2007: As part of FCA’s Operational Plan, clubs will be allowed to register one free nationally-sanctioned CDN 900 or CDN 1200 round during 2007. A coupon will arrive with the club renewal package. It must be returned to the national office along with the date, contact person and the name of the club judge for the event.
