can someone explain this stuff to a lowly redneck like me

R2351 Jones Doris W Senior Compound/Senior Arc à Poulies 586 45 0 14 586 45 14
3926 Groszko Dawn W Senior Compound/Senior Arc à Poulies 594 31 23 6 571 31 29

I was flippin through the regional results looking for people I know ....

The FCA website does not say what each colum means .... The way I read that is that Dawn shouldve won with an overall 594 ...but Doris is on top with a 586 ... the colums to the right shows dawn at 571 while doris is at 586 still .... ?????

someone in the know please explain .....

This post has no intention to take anything away from Doris Jones... Argueably Canadas #1 compound target archer ... when at 16 years old (i think) wins the Vegas archery festival ....she deserves to be at the top

Thanks

Mikey - I think it's there, 594+571=1165(Dawn) is less than 586+586=1172 (Doris) at least that's my interpretation of the scores.

The first set of scores is outer 10, the second set is inner ten, Doris scored inner 10 only so her outer 10 score is unknown. The FCA goes by inner 10.

Fotch is correct.

Doris shot the score at the Canada Winter Games which did not score outer tens.

In regionals outer tens are counted and then corrected by subtracting the large tens (not x's) to get an inner ten score as required for there classes. Inner ten scoring for FITA events.

Dawn shot a 594 outer ten score but had to subtract her outer tens (23) to get her inner ten score of 571.

Confused? Doris shot a new Canadian record at the games, as did Deitmier Trillus in Ontario (597 inner) only one off the world record

594(Outer Score) 31(x's) 23(10s) 6(9s) 571(inner score) 31(x's) 29(9's with big tens)
