There are many programs to resize photos, but why don't you start your own album in our photo gallery, then it will resize them for you.

Great photos.
Look like a couple of species of mergansers.

Pretty sure that some are western mergansers a couple may also be hooded mergansers. Tough to tell in a couple of photos.

Are western mergansers the same as common mergansers? The book I look them up in said that hood mergansers only live in NS in the summer time, but maybe there lost

Your likely right, been a long time since I new my mergansers!
I do know some species of mergansers will hang around as long as there is open water. Some even overwinter here in Calgary. Didn't notice where you were from when I guessed at what species they were. :o :o

I don't know ducks at all, just what my books tell me.Didn't even know what a merganser was until you posted. Figured I learn a little since I live by a national wildlife area.

Nice pictures. Looks like they're Common Mergansers except for one, that is a Hooded Merganser. There could be more Hoodies in there but I only see the one. Male Hooded Mergansers are beautiful birds in my opinion. I'd try to get some more pics of them if you can.
