Hey Guys,
Where is the most likley spot you will find sheds?? I have found a number of sheds they never seem to give me a pattern as to where they fall off.
Cheers!!

Scott what a great question. I've wondered too about that one. I always look along fence lines, in the heavy willows where they might get knocked off, close to bedding areas. I've also driven very slowly along roads in good deer areas and looked along the fencelines, my idea was to cover more ground and still check the fences. It was great because I had my girls with me and they had fun....but no bone.
I've found 2-yup only 2 in my life. One was beside a fence and the other was in the middle of the bush, I almost sat on it...so it found me I didn't find it. Any pointers from the pros would be appreciated.

I'm not an expert by any means, but I am learning!
This is my most recent set, photographed as they lay. You can actually see the depression the deer was laying in when he dropped them, which I scored at 127 4/8 with an 18" inside spread.
The trailcamera photos show the deer they came from, and what he looked like last year.
I hunt sheds like I hunt deer, watch them closely, follow trails and watch for sign.
I have better luck with sheds than actual deer though! :boohoo:

I have found several this spring just by riding the quad along field edges. Deer are a transition zone animal, so the most obvious area to look would be a transition zone (Field edge along bush).

look around bedding areas and around where deer yard up for the winter
i have alot of luck in hemlock stands because i find that they provide alot of cover and the deer like to bed down in them. watch on trees for rub marks, alot of times the deer will rub on trees to get them to fall of sooner and will knock them off in the process.
