#1 Why would you need to?
#2 I thought I read in yer for sale ad that you are in Calgary so I can only assume that you are riding In wipe-yer-ass or Mac Cleans Crack.... Yamahas come factory jetted for sea level operation which is generally ok to 3500 feet or so ..Calgarys elevation is about 3440 ft above sea level .....
No matter where you go ... to get to the staging area yer constantly climbing ...I know the south Ghost staging area (Accros the road from the ranger station and DND camp ) is the lowest staging point in the whole Ghost area south of the Red-deer river at about 3900 feet giver take a hundy or so ...according to my GPS the feild just past the first bridge on Hunter Valley road is at 4500 feet .... giver take ....
so ya ...I would look at Carb jetting first ...clutch kits are a bigger waste of time than anything on a ute quad .... .... Or get rid of it and git an EFI Polaris :) J/K

Get a jet kit, it made a world of differance on my kodiak and I have a couple of friends with grizzlies and they both needed jet kits to mountain ride as well.
Clutch kits do make a differance, but it all depends on what you are using your quad for. need more details.
As to Mikeys statement about getting a Polaris :flame:, stick with your grizz you will be much better off :D
Here is the best place to get infor on your Yamaha, search through all the threads and you will find out all you need and then some. Good luck!

Thanks for the info so far.
1. I have only had it since late October so it is not for sale.
2. Yes I live in Calgary, But I consider Maclean Creek more of a fun day.
3. I am trying to get a little more low end power for moose hunting.
4. I hate Polaris.
Maybe it is just me but the Grizzly does not seem to have the same bottom end power as my Honda did. Even with the Diff Lock on it still does not seem to have the same power. Tough to test this stuff out in a parking lot.
Any more ideas would be greatly appreciated.

A jet kit, aftermarket air filter and a good aftermarket exhaust will make the most noticeable differances. I will almost say for sure that with those mods you will be very happy with the increase in performance. So far everyone with these mods that I know have been very happy including myself.
Good luck!

Ya'll dunno whats good fer ya
when yer busted Jap crap gets towed out by a Polaris .... you'll be saying ... Damn I'm glad my buddy had a Polaris ....
Now where I come from that is S#!T Tickets fer yer camper with plumbing ...if you dont have a camper with plumbing then yer the one digging the hole ...yer the one building the throne and yer the one to take it all down and fill in the hole .... oh and keep it stocked with Mountain money and suitable reading material ..... if ya cant do all that ...yer walkin'
Made in Japan ...HA ;)
Seriously .... the griz has alot of lower end grunt as it is .... surprising actually for a big bore single ... Do as Dave mentioned above and look at getting some good tires ... Dave just picked up a good set if I recall at a great price too ... all that and low range .... you could pull a d-9 if ya had too ....ok maybe not .... But a Polaris Twin could :) :flipoff: :flipoff: :D

I run a 450 kodiak with 26" lite on it, the only thing I have done -Jet kit. I Pulled 2 Bull moose last fall including one that had to be unhooked from....dare I say it... a honda 450ES that just couldn't get the stuff to the ground in a wash out. Both cases ran her in low gear and never touched the diff lock.
Jet Kit
Exhaust if your still not happy
Dalton Clutch kit is the last resort but personally would wait this one. Seen more than a few blew up from switching up the clutch.

Or if you want more power and fuel injection, get one of these. My buddy just bought this on friday.

It is a 2006 Arctic Cat 700 special edition. This thing goes like snot! It is quite the machine, too much for my needs. I guess to each his own.
