Haven't picked any off the ground yet - seen buck herds (this weekend) of 15-20 all over the place between Lethbridge and Carseland... many of them missing antlers (ears are drooping) but haven't had a chance to look for sheds.

Well on my way home from work tonite I come to a corner... I look south ...no traffic ... I look north no traffic .... I was about to go then outta the corner of my eye I catch movement about 200 yards to the north ....Low and behold its a Whitetail buck ....I normally turn south at the corner ...but being the dude I am I turn north ...to get a closer lookie .... Its a small buck probally 1.5 years old I would say ....had both his horns still ..... I was about to look for a place to turn around to head south to the hwy when i see 2 of his closest friends step outta the tree line .... these 2 bucks are a little older ...probally 2.5 year olds .... one had both his antlers still and the other only had one. All three deer are obviously from the same Bloodline and they look like they all could be bruisers in about 3 years ... Very symetrical antlers and pretty decent mass for being very young. I know for a fact there is great food in the area and there is no hunting pressure as the land owners in the area think as deer as pets ...and want rid of Yotes ..... the area is in the Calgary Bowzone .... in a ritzy area with alot of money .....

Mikey,
I was out around Bearspaw where my buddy lives, any way there a a landowner in the are that again no hunting but he loves yotie hunters we usually head out every season with our bows to hunt yoties but when we get there we just look for sheds, GrandSlam has spanked a few but we have found some great sheds. Do you bow hunt for yoties on this land? if not you should ask...if you have time.

Ya that shed was found in my regular hunting area though it seems to be an old one buck is probably no longer around.the geans in this area seem to be good. This shed that I've shown in a previous post was also found in the same area(update on its score, I scored it at 99 7/8,had a pope and young/b&c scorer put a tape on it and he gives it )102 5/8
