My sister wants a bow I shoot recurve but she's bound and determined to shoot compound. Whatever. Can anyone make suggestions? I'd guess she had a 26 or 27 draw and she's not strong. Is there anything that is adjustable from 30 lbs to 50 or so for hunting?

Hoyt's new Selena is touted as a great bow for women. The draw range and weight sound perfect. It is light weight and fairly quick.

The Selena is what Aya Labrie is shooting this year after surgury on her upper body.

There are a few smaller, lighter bows out there that would be suitable. PSE Nova, was my first bow, not sure if it goes that light tho. I use a Hoyt Vipertec, again, not sure if it will come light enuff. Might want to contact different manufacturers via email and just ask.

Interesting topic. I hunt with a crossbow as a bow is a tough pull for me but I would sure like to try. I have broken both my arms no less than 3 times as a young person and am paying the price as an adult. 2 of those time were right at the elbow joint. I have yet to find a bow that I can pull and hold without both arms wanting to give out but then I have only tried mens bows.

Yes, I was a HORRIBLE clutz as a kid/teenager but I sure had alot of fun.
