Weapon: traditional bow
Distance: 22 yards
Conditions: late afternoon, cloudy with fresh rainfall
Situation: Watching that decoy real closely, he's walking straight for you

Will you take the shot?
What are your concerns that make/break your decision to shoot?
Tell us what you think!

I think I would wait to see what he does with that decoy .... Its surprising that hes even interested in it as it aint even close to the Rut in that pic .... If I move to draw my Recurve hes gonna bust me ...
I will wait to see if he circles in front of me ... If he bolts .... its early in the season ... I will see him again

I would pass the shot wait for a broadside shot plus it would be difficult track that animal if it is still wet from the rain .

I too would pass.It is still early in the season and tracking in the rain would be a b****.

I don't like antlers with velvet...probably would pass. I'd definately wait till he turned or passed by then make my move.

Hey! For once, I'd pass! The first 'Call the Shot' thread where I haven't said 'BOOM' :lolouch:

With a bow, I hope I'd never take that shot (although some here may) and I'd wait for a better opportunity. If it happens...great. If not....that's why it's called hunting!
