Phew...this is a hard thing for me to do since I lost Chevy so little time ago but I have a little guy who wants his friend back.
So, I want to get us a puppy for Christmas. The house is so damn lonely without a bark and a good friend.
I am looking for a Rottweiler puppy. Must have good blood lines and meeting the parents and the owners of the pups is a must.
Thought that I'd post this up and see if anyone on here knows a good breeder or somone that whos dog has had puppies recently that would like to give one away or sell at a reasonable cost.
I am watching the Humane Society in both Edmonton and Calgary as well as ARF in Calgary too.
Anyone?

Scott I will get back to you on this - my brother and sister in-law have a Rotty with awesome temperment and obedience and they've recommended the breeder to a few people already. Hope to get the info for you shortly.
<LATE ENTRY>
Sorry Scott, I just found out that the folks who were the breeders I mentioned are no longer around... I will try to find out if there are any others out there that fit the bill for you!

Scooter ...are ya sold on a Rotty ...or will you and James look at other breeds ..... I know someone here from work that has some pure German Shepards ..... Un-papered mind you but I dont think you would care about that ...
They are Pure but the owners didnt purchase the breeding rights when they purchased the dog so they cant be called "Pure Bred"
Lemme know .....

Sorry to hear about your dog Scott!! I know the empty house feeling all too well. Life isn't the same when there isn't a wet nose and wagging tail (or in this case a wiggling ass) to greet you when you come home. When we put down our last dog we waited for a while and knew it was time to get another dog she has been great for us. A new dog will feel great as soon as they get in the house. I got to check in more often.

I just found out a co-worker knows the owner (or publisher?) of Canine Review in Calgary and has a lot of contacts. I'm just waiting to get her contact info for you.

Hey Scott, how far are you willing to travel for a pup? I was at a party last weekend and one of the guys there has a Rotty that he is going to have to put down (the dog has real bad hip displasia or something like that) and he was going to see about getting another one from the same place as his last one. I know the dog he has now and it is the nicest damn dog you could ask for. If you want I can check with him and see where the breeder is and PM you when I find out. It may very well be a long ways from your neck of the woods though.
Good luck finding a new pup!

Hey Rick. I appreciate the thought but if he's putting down his dog from Hip Dysplasia, then the blood line that he got the dog from is prone to that problem. Thank you very much though for thinkin' of it.
