Follow the rules on the closed areas or you will find yourself booted out of the camp. Animals should be pretty easy to find in the primative season. Lots of mega bucs in the camp. Be patient and you will get your chance.

I grew up north of the ribstone campsite, but I know the camp alright. The very second pressure hits the camp the game heads out, my buddy shot a green score 399 5/8 elk with a bow there last fall as it left the camp. Alota people just watch the fence when season opens in the camp. The army guys also find alota sheds in there so if yu ask em you can find some of the areas the deer and elk inhabit when the season isn't on so yu could hit those spots the first couple days. But I always hunt on the south side with friends and we have seen some big elk come out and there is usually a few good whitetails taken in the area every year as well. I hunted in the camp once and my dad a few times but it's usually better outside. This info might be late but if your going again next year good luck.
