People have been seeing the wood ape for hundreds of years but does he really exsist? There is no conclusive proof that bigfoot does exsist but why are there so many sightings all over North America? No one has showed up with one on the back of the pickup so does that mean bigfoot is just a myth? So what do you think? Is there a big ape roaming out in the woods right under our noses or is it just a myth thats kept going all this time.
Do I believe in bigfoot? Yes I think he is out there and smart. I have never saw one but I do believe they are there and very good at hiding. I would say they are probably very smart and know alot more about us than we do about them. So lets hear it guys ,dont be shy, what do you think? Are they real or is Sir_huntsalot a nut? Be nice :D

I personally do not believe in Bigfoot, but if you did see one and did not want to be labeled a nut you would have to kill one and drag it out for the world to see.

My brother in law is about 250lbs. kind of looks like an ape and is not quite as smart as one, but he takes a size 13 or 14 shoe so I have to say that big foot does exist and I have personally seen him too many times.

About 10 years ago a guy and his family supposedly saw one in the Interlake area of Manitoba. There were 4 of them in the car and they all claimed to have seen it. It was on the radio and in the papers for a couple of days. He was a cop so I don't think he'd be making it up to get too much attention unless he was wanting to lose his job and be labeled a nutcase. I don't think it's possible that one has escaped capture all these years. There's too many people in the back country these days for them not to be seen. When someone shows up with a dead one then I'll believe. Kinda the same thing as a politician that listens to his constituentsand keeps election promises.....you hear about them but no one has ever seen one!!!

it would be interesting to see one although the bush can play tricks on you're mind with all the shadows, but it may actually exist every day they find a new species of some sort who knows the next guy to shoot a grizzly may actually shoot a bigfoot...just a question? a bear dies of natural causes do find a carcus? very rarely since they usually die in the den so just maybe they're like a bear who knows... with all the outdoor traffic way out in gods country these days you'd think someone would've shot one by now...

Yeah ok guys , I guess you are skeptics like most people when it comes to something of this nature and if you are a believer you probably dont want to admit it for fear of ridicule. Not me I admit it I am a believer based on some pretty compelling evidence. There have been some pretty significant finds in the last few years that have convinced not only me but some of the top scientists in the fields of anthapology and related fields. I am sure you have all heard of the Dr. Jane Goodall who is a world renowned expert in primates. To quote her:I am convinced that bigfoot/sasquaches do exsist. For her to say something like that and attend a symposium on bigfoot is something that turned alot of heads in scientific and academic circles. Alot of other well respected scientists have also joined Goodall in the belief that bigfoot is for real. I think with alot of these well respected scientists on board we will see alot more research on this legendary creature. I would bet that within the next 10 years there will be conclusive proof that this primate does inhabit the forests of North America. With advances in DNA and science in general I think this matter will be put to rest before to long.
There are alot of hoaxes out there but there is also some hard evidence such as hair and scat that has been studied that has come from no other animal known to man. Alot of fake tracks have surfaced but also tracks that are legitamat tracks of a large primate. I,m not going to go into all the hard evidence that has been collected but I will say that there is enough to convince some of the top experts in the world that there is a large primate that roams our forests.
To me its not that hard to believe that one has not been shot by a hunter, An animal that is nocturnal and in small numbers and retreats at any sign of human activity would be very hard to find let alone kill, hell I have run into whitetails that are impossible to see and they lived right under my nose, the only evidence that I ever got that they exsisted was a shed antler.
For people to say something doesn't exsist without studying evidence and then drawing their conclusions doesn't seem reasonable to me. I have never saw a bigfoot or a track but for me to say they dont exsist would be something I could not back up. The evidence suggests otherwise and I feel alot more will come about in the next few years and turn the skeptics into believers. So call me a nut but the evidence suggests that I just may not be.

Dillershortbow, I am just saying that an animal that does not want to be found can be almost impossible to see. If you read more carefully you will see that I said the only real evidence I had was a shed. Depending on the terrain tracks from a particular animal can be very hard to distinguish. Ofcourse they left tracks but I could not say for sure if that particular buck made them or not. If you thought about it for a second you would see the point I am trying to make.

SIR i believe there is a possibility of it existing i think it's really hard for people to believe in what they have not seen like i said in my first post one day one may get shot or hit by a car anything in this world today is possible...

I agree with you on that Lonewolf, it's human nature not to believe in something that you cannot see and confirm for yourself.
The giant squid was just a myth for 2000 years and the only one's that believed it exsisted were people who actually saw it. It seemed pretty far fetched that there was a giant sea creature upwards to 100 feeet long that would attack ships. I have to admit that would have been a hard one for me to swallow. It wasn't until a few of these creatures washed up on shore that fiction became fact. If none had washed up I am sure it would still be a myth. So far all attempts by scientists to locate and photogragh the giant squid have been a failure. Maybe someday they will get lucky!
I highly doubt that anyone will shoot a bigfoot or one will be hit by a car, I think proof will come from DNA samples and good photographic evidence from remote cameras. Maybe some day someone will capture one but I think it will be proven to be for real in some other way first.

SirHunts I dont think it has anything to do with a closed mind. One of the rarest birds we have is a Black Merlin hawk about the size ov a whiskey jack there is only a hand full of small coloneies one is by Bamfeld on Van Isle. We see them . But a bigfoot 7 feet tall roaming around no hunter has ever shot one or hit one on the road. All the evdence is wishy washy at best. Good mith like the ogopogo and lock ness. Thats a long paragraph tipping with one finger :D :D :D

The one thing that makes me wonder though is the few people that have claimed to have seen either bigfoot, nessie,or ogopogo all seem to describe the same entity as other witnesses. I bet most of them would be offended by folks saying they didn't see what they saw. Hard to say what goes on in places we have no way of completely monitoring. I still think hard proof is needed before I become a believer though.

Sorry for the delay in posting but I had to see all posts.
I am on your side Sirhuntsalot,Bigfoot surely exist out west just like in Tibet.I'll tell you a fact.It happen on november 1963,I was hunting up north for deers and mooses.I got in a narrow valley and post myself at the entrance. My father decide to make a large circle around the valley, expecting deers to run in the valley so I could shoot it.Half an hour after he left I saw a form coming down in the valley,I was 16 at that time,so I try to identify the animal that was coming,I was without binoculars and it was still too far.It was not a wolf because it seem longer body than a wolf. When it came closer I identify it,It was a montain lion, supposely extinct since a 100 years in Quebec. In february 1988 I was skying in a national park when I saw tracks similar to a lynx but larger, went to the park warden and ask him if there was a montain lion in the park,he agreed. In the two years after there was over 100 sighting in my area.So if mlion still exist after a 100 years why not the Bigfoot?

I grew up in the south okanagan and my older brother saw one cross highway 97 just in between ok. falls and kaleden at about 4 am on his way to work in penticton. i also heard a lot of older folk from around there talk about sasquatch , one lady claims she chased one from her berry patch!. Yes virginia there is a big foot!

Oh yeah - Don't get me started about the Ogopogo!
