An elk with an antler growing out of the centre of its forehead has caught the attention of wildlife officials.
Hunter Paul Radomski says that earlier this month, he shot an elk in northwestern Alberta that had one of its antlers protruding from the centre of its forehead.
Fish and Wildlife officials were also amazed by the mutant elk, which had a perfectly normal left antler.
Fish and Wildlife biologist Dave Stepnisky speculated the ``uni-elk''condition was caused by an injury when the animal was young.
