Recently my Sister-in-laws fiancé lost the sight in his right eye and was diagnosed with Macular Degeneration in his left eye. When I heard the news it started me to thinking about my own eyesight and how important it is to me.

I also got to thinking about a wonderful Lady that is a Professional Archer that I met on the PSE archery forum. She also is fighting with Macular Degeneration. She also seems to win her battle! So I contacted her by email and ask her for some information about what she is doing to battle her eye disease.

She graciously rushed an email back to me. In the email she sent this: “I am regularly using natural drugs found at the health food store...or even at Wal-Mart. I take large doses of Lutein and use a natural vitamin for eyes and eye drops made for people with Macular Degeneration. Tell him to FIGHT IT!!! Go on line and research it, there are routine foods and natural derivatives that will help him in his battle. Lutein will not get rid of the disease, but it slows it down and will stagnate it with regular use.”

I quickly passed on the information to my Sister-in-law and to all of my friends. The next day I went to town and bought a bottle of Lutein, a bottle of Vitamin A (Beta Carotene), Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Zinc, Selenium, and Copper. That day was about 45 days ago and I have been taking those medications twice a day without fail.

In the past few days I have noticed significant changes in my eyesight. The other day I picked up one of my target bows that I have not used for a couple of months and I went out to shoot. Man was my sight picture ever blurry! I was getting sick to my stomach trying to look thru my Favorite 6X scope! I fiddled with the sight bar lengths, changed from a clarifier peep sight to a normal peep sight and did everything I could do to clear up the problem. Including changing to a 2X lens. That is when it finally dawned on me to take my prescription glasses off.

Can you imagine my surprise when I drew my bow, looked thru the scope and saw a Perfectly Clear sight picture? No Trifocal glasses, no Clarifier and a lower magnification in the scope! Heck, with my glasses on and using my pin sights I am able to shoot better and score higher than I have for a very long time. I’m happier than a millionaire in a vault filled with money!

I have been chatting with two of my good friends that also started on a regimen of the same vitamins the same day as I did. They have also noticed a difference in their eye sight, but were afraid to say anything because they didn’t want to feel foolish or have me think they were feeding me a line of B.S. They haven’t really noticed as much of a difference as I have, but they are tickled to see an improvement!

If any of you fine people that are reading this are suffering from dimming eyesight, wearing glasses or just want to maintain the eyesight that you have; I would highly recommend these vitamins to you. I’m not guaranteeing that they will work for you, but it sure is worth a try!
At this time I would also like to thank my good friend and a fine Lady named Jayne Alford. She is the Fine Lady that gave me all the information about battling Macular Degeneration and the loss of vision. Without her help my scopes would still be 6X power and I would still be loosing good vision! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you,!!!!!!
