Understand this is just my two cents but the picture just posted today "man riding a moose"is just plan in bad taste, not only is it harassing wildlife there for illegal and not the safest thing in the world to do .We as sportsmen/women in no way should be treating a animal in such a way .This is the type of crap that gets posted on the web or in the local paper that makes hunters look like a bunch of fools who have no respect for the creatures we pursue ,would this guy try and ride a moose out of water somehow I think if he did the picture might now read"jackass trampled by moose".

Hey 394,

I don't think much of the picutre either. :nono:

A couple of years ago a joker on another forum posted the same picture saying it was him riding the moose and we all let loose on him.

It is harrassing wildlife and it is illegal.

My $ 0.02.

I agree as well, it's illegal and it is too bad that the "authorities" couldn't recognize the guy and prosecute him. Also, as I mentioned in the reply to the picture, it's too bad the moose couldn't have turned the tables on the fella and drowned him.

Do you think alcohol might have been involved? :?

I've been told I should lighten up a bit about stuff like this, I don't think so! We as hunters have enough trouble putting a positive spin on what we do, this kind of thing makes us all look like morons. The anti's don't care if it's only a small percentage of us that do that, they just use every opportunity to use this type of info to give us bad publicity.

This is also just my $.02.

Rick

P.S. Wish me luck, we're heading out to camp for 10 days as soon as I get done posting this. Look out moose, I ainta gonna ride ya', I'm a gonna make you dinner!
(Kind of ironic (moronic??), I don't see anything wrong with killing a moose, but I hate someone riding a moose. That gives me something to think about while I'm out in the woods for the next week and a half.) Rick
