Have you or anyone you know tryed using smoking sticks for bears?Now that whitetail season is in order deer are tops on my list but I was thinking if the sticks actually work I could pull some all dayers deer till 11am walk a half mile light a stinky stick and sit for bears for a couple of hours then head back for sunset shoot for deer .Still have a unfilled bear tag in my pocket lots of **** in the area maybe tag out with both.

My hunting partner is from Brandon and his brothers all swear by those scent sticks... however I did see an interesting idea on Canada in the Rough yesterday... try using a chafing dish burner to heat an old coffee can with honey or maple syrup... supposed to work better than anything else to bring in bears.
They dug a bit of a hole to keep the chafing dish element stable and then sat the coffee can on top. You may want to put some rocks around the can so it doesn't topple easy if its windy.
