Need some speed!

Hi everyone, I just got a compact Hurricane lately, and wish to improve it speed! I heard that the custom string made by pro string would help! Is there any other options that would help me ? Thanks !

Lets see the Pro-String may get you a couple fps. Then that would make it better to shoot a Trupeep, and get rid of the rubber tubing type peep. That would give you a couple more fps. Make sure you have the bare minimum amount of things on your string, ie: Trupeep and string loop(the benefits of a string loop ofset the small loss of speed). Try to lighten up your arrows some, but keep in mind that you will loose kinetic energy as your arrows get lighter (a negative for hunting).A drop away rest may give some speed as well. Thanks for your tips, Tell me do you think there is a better string than prostring to put on, en wich compagnie would manufacture a good and fast arrow rest ? I will be working on that this winter!

I also agree with cdn-redneck, get rid of weight as much as possible and the use of speed balls may help a bit. Shoot at 5 gr/lb and shoot a comfortable draw length. There is nothing like a fast bow.

Why do you need more speed.If it is for hunting,you won't need it .
1) a fast bow is noisy and give up a bit on accuacy due to recoil.
2)You'll need kinetic energy to kill a deer,a regular 9gr.per inch arrow will be quiet and more precise.
3)Faster is the bow more erratic broadhead flight.
Believe my experience( my own opinion) it is not worth it.
My best bow was a Browning windriver with energy wheels rating 210fps
