What do you shoot?

Lets get this forum moving gals! What type of bow do you shoot? Do you hunt as well or are you 3-d women?
I switched from compound to traditional this year and have been having a blast. I hit most of the 3-d shoots in this end of the province. I am sorry to say with the exception of the ATBA Jamboree I was the only female trad shooter at any of them.
I presently shoot a Jack Kempf Kwick Styck(recurve) and a Black Swan longbow. I am looking forward to my first trad hunting trip in September. I have harvested w-tail with the compound, but I hear trad hunting is a whole other ballgame.

I shoot a Hoyt Sierra Tech, with a Cobra Sidewinder LX, Muzzy Broadheads, GoldTip 3555 arrows. For 3-D shoots I normally have my bow set 35lbs & I crank it up for hunting.

I'm finding it real hard around here finding competion in the shoots, A friend of mine shares my daughters trad bow in the shoots & she is usually the only trad women shooting too.

My 11 yr old daughter shoots a 28lb recurve.....around here all cubs & cadets shoot in the same catagory...I personaly don't think thats too fair...

Going from a PSE Nova that I have shot for years to a Hoyt Vipertec this year. Quite the learning curve as I am now using sights and a release after years of instinctive. Hoyt is set at 51, Black Max arrows with 100g Stingers.

I shot a Bowtech Lady Hawk with Copper John dead nuts sight, set at 35#, 23" DL, carbon impact arrows, with blazer vanes (really sweat deal!) and 65gr tips for 3-D, I haven't bowhunt yet, but really want to, maybe we go to get some hogs before we move to Perdue. By the way, I was thinking on trying a recurve, what brand do you suggest?

Hi Ladies,

It's nice to see that I am not the only lover of archery. I shoot a platinum Hoyt Turbotec. Love it immensely...I give it more attention then I do my hubby!! I haven't ventured hunting yet but I am working on it and hopefully I will have my first bow kill posted this fall!

My girl shoots a red Hoyt Banshee. I took her to some money shoots last year down south and she developed target panic so bad ... she has just started shooting again after 6 months off. Got any advice to help target panic? I would love some! We also found out through this whole process that she is holding almost as much as she is pulling? Go figure? We changed the modules and it seems to be a little better but she is holding almost as much as I am and she is 10 and a 100 pounds lighter!
