Hey Guys,
I miss being up north around Calgary and being able to hunt whitetails easily around the bowzone, and am wishin I could stick a good one with an arrow this year. I'm currently living down around Medicine Hat and I work south on the border. I've got BIG mulies all around and the bowhunting pressure is VERY low. The other night I found a couple groups of deer, the biggest being a 190-200 main-frame typical and another in the 185-190 class. There were also about 4 deer over the 150 mark......
I hunt in the open sage country and have permission in a pile of spots to do good spot/stalk hunts. This year I have a mulie draw so I will be concentrating my time/efforts into one WMU for mulies.
If anyone is interested in a good prairie mule deer hunt and can get me into a treestand or a blind for a decent whitetail (140+) with my bow, I'd be willin to do a little 'swap' and see what we could do. I really dont get the time to scout for whitetails any more, so any time I have around Calgary/ Edmonton is spent chasin deer with no real 'plan'....
Let me know if you're interested....

Unfortunately I can't help you out as much as I'd like to, but if you're ever in the 310 area, east of #22... they're some dandy Whities out there...

If your still interested for fall 2009, I'd be happy to trade you hunts.... I have 27 stands up amongst Strathcona county. I can usually find a few decent bucks... just depends on which days they decide to show up.. lol

Sounds like you have something I'm wanting! I hunt just east of the Hat and 3 miles from the Saskatchewan border on a Huterite colony friends place. Are you close to this at all ? If I get drawn for antelope this year I would be interested in swapping. Last year I had 5 different shot opportunities at 180+ whitetails here in the Edmonton Bow Zone but the shot never came about. Was my best year ever for quality deer and big. I passed on 173 bucks in 2 weeks of the rut from Nov 14th till the 30th. A lot of them where 140+. I hunt on 5 different properties with in 5 miles of Edmonton on about an average of 40 acre parcels. In total I have 31 stands on private property. So the locations never get over used. Pm me if your interested and want to see pictures to prove the deer I was mentioning. :super_hap

PS Good luck

Nice work! Although it doesn't look like you got much penetration with that shot (kidding)

What kind of BH made that entry hole?

I'm hoping to get up after Elk tomorrow....
