I use the Rocky Mountain Premiere 100's on Elk and Moose. Tons of dropping power in those little suckers. My bow's a Hoyt Supertec @ 68# - 27.5" DL.

I'm using a AR31 ram and a half set at 70Ilbs 28 1\2 " draw with stealth 300 x-weaves with a 100 grain NAP 3 blade broadhead. I used this on wildboar this spring and shot a complete pass through double lung at 53 yards. I use a trophy ridge front sight with a hind sight on the rear. I plan to use this on bear on the 15 of August then on a cow and bull in september then on some whitetails in november. :-P

Those premiers work good eh Scott? I've heard mixed things about them in the past. I've heard people that love them and people that don't. How many bulls have you knocked down with them?

a broadhead that passes right through an elk vertibrea from above and not shatter is a damn good BH in my books.

So Chris the thread was started about rigs people use for Bigger North American game .... Keep on Topic and tell us what you use

taureaunoir.... I shoot a Hoyt SuperTec at 28" I havent decided what arrows I am going with this year but last years were CX 4560s and 100grain Rocky Mountian Premieres for a total weight of 426 grains the Super Tec lets them fly at 276FPS at 62# draw weight. with a Cobra Diamond back rest, a GKF Tranquilizer Stab, A Cobra Sidewinder LX sight and a Cobra Green Mamba release aid ....

I just put on a set on "Worlds Best" Strings and cables Custom made by Allan Andreas of Leader Sask, I should get a couple more FPS outta the string due to the manufacturing process and therefore some more KE ....Like 72 pounds aint enuf :teehee:

Below are 2 reveiws that Trevor has done on Allan Worlds best
Worlds Best Strings Take1 (http://www.bowzone.ca/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=54)

Worlds Best Take 2 (http://www.bowzone.ca/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=60)

After my holidays (2weeks in the woods by a lake where the only work I will do is getting firewood, and hopping on the quad and head up the mountain to sit in a Natural Hotspring pool....Shoot arrows and fish) I'm am certain I will have write a full write up on Worlds Best strings

Naw no-one did .......why????.....I stated that any BH that can plow through a Big elk vertibrea and come out unscathed is a darn good one ..... at any rate you have yet to anser the question at hand ..... what equip are YOU using?

That all Being said I decided upon my equip this year today and was down at the Calgary Archery center and picked up some new arrows and BH ..... In fact the very same as GKF Deadhead Demons

I havn't hunted anything larger than a black bear with a Bow yet (Sept.7 is comin quick, hopefully with a moose in it for me though).

I've been shooting 90 gr. first cuts (2 blades) and I like them alot. My bear only went 55 feet and piled up, and my last whitetail went less than that. I like the 2 blades for the penetration I get out of them with my old slow bow. I passed completeley through my bear, and just the fletchings were left in my deer.

If I ever get myself a newer Bow with some balls, I think I'd go Muzzy.
