taureaunoir, Happy to see not everyone here is from way out west. I guess I'm one of the few from the east coast. :D
Anyway welcome and if you feel the need to "parler français", go ahead I speak it too. Not "le style du Quebec", but close enough to be understood.
I shoot a recurve once in a while but compound is my thing.

Yeah, we were in Canada in 1605, Les Acadiens. Quite a few years before Quebec was settled. Did you tell them what taureau noir was in english?

Welcome Taureaunoir, What does that handle mean anyway? Good to see some of the boys from back east on here. Half of us guys in the west here are from back east anyway but the hunting is just so much better out here I just had to move out.

taureaunoir, If there were any deer around here I wouldn't have booked a bowhunting trip to Quebec for next year.
We've had a few hard winters in a row which played havoc with our deer population. The deer population is good to fair in some places in Nova Scotia and in others it's almost non-existant. I'm in the almost non-existant part. Not to say there are no deer but they are few and far between.

Sir HUntshalot.
Taureau noir mean (Black bull) I was called that when I was a footballer in 66.
I know that out west the is a variety of animals .Here is farm land ,behind home there is a small wood maybe 30acres and there is over 50 deers.we harvest 1 deer per year here then we move to an other region to fill out other hunter's tag.
We have moose 20min from home, and black bear on spring. Not sure I would prefer west.
Would like to be equal part of Canada for sure.
