I am thinking about getting a quad, and was leaning towards a Arctic Cat. Love the ground clearance, racks, lockers. does anyone own one? What do you think?, Is it reliable? I tried searching the forum, but didn't get any results. I think most people choose either a Yam, or a Honda. Arctic Cat doesn't seem that popular.

I've had an arctic cat for the past 3 years, its the 500 automatic, I love the thing. Never had any trouble with it. Put some mud bug tires on it last month because the tires you get with them are no good. I would buy another one in a heart beat. The price is close to the rest of the belt drive quads.

I have never been that much of a fan of the Kitty Cats because of the high center of gravity

I prefer the Polaris' feels more sturdy and the 500 sportsman models have more clearance and a lower center of gravity than the 500 Cat

It all boils down to brand loyalty

My neighbour has a Cat and riding with him last weekend, his quad seemed to be awful tippy in the rough stuff.
