What is your fletch shape?
I have ben trying some diferent shapes and sizes lately.Ther is not much to choose from unless you cut your own or find a custom fletch place like Herb's.

I cut my own from goose and turkey, a quazi shield type. 3 rivers archery sells cutters and you can buy burners that you can bend the heat wire to pretty much any shape you want.

Pete...I am using the 4" Saubuckel that I got from Herb with the feather chopper. Since I decided to go 4 fletch that is all that I have been using. I also have the 5" Orca cut that I used at the NALS this year with my split pine shafts. Much more traditional looking than 4 fletch but each to their own. BTW...I spoke with MPS regarding the review that you will be doing on the Rodney Wright Stalker recurve. I am looking forward to that!!

How do you find the flight with 4 fletch? I was thinking of trying it out but wanted some input first.

Gilly...I sent you a pm with some explanation. I find that it does straighten the arrow out quite quickly plus the fact that I can get 2 - 4" feathers out of 1 full length feather. I also don't have to worry about where the nock goes. If you are shooting woods, then you have to be a bit more careful.
Added post from email sent to me:(BOWZONE):
I really don't see that much of a difference but then I am old and blind...actually I see that it straightens out much quicker. Part of the attraction is the fact that I can get 2 4" feathers out of 1 full length feather...and I don't worry about where the nock is going to go. Of course...if you're shooting woods, then you have to indicate where the stiffest side of the arrow is so it sits against the shelf. I hunt with carbons so I don't have to worry about it.
