Hello everyone.

I am new to the site....I think it’s great. Unfortunately his is my first post and not a great into but I really would like people’s opinions and/or help. I have been in the archery game for 10 or so years and have met some really cool people and for those who know me we’ve had great times at tournaments.

My father just battled intestine, kidney and batter cancer. Now this past week he found out he now has lung cancer. So before he gets sick from his treatments I would really like to take him quading for the first time, let him understand why I spend so much time, money on equipment and time off to go hunting.......anyway.

Last year I was looking forward to taking him south of Hinton, when I learned that the road I needed to take was under construction and the area will not be accessible anymore. I was wondering if some one can tell me a place where I can take him quading for a great first impression.

I would really like to take him to the mountains, because he still talks about them when we use to go as kids. Any help, directions would really be appreciated.

Hey Chris. Sorry to hear about your Father.

Have you been up the north Ram, you can camp in there, and still quad the road to onion lake, it is a nice easy ride. You can also camp at lynx creek, and quad for days back in the mountians there. The south Ram, around the falls is also nice. Around cadomin used to be good, have not been there for years though.

Unfortunatly the gov. has really limited where we can quad in the mountains. Some of these other guys may have a better suggestion for you as lots seem to live around Calgary, and south.

Good luck, and again sorry about your Father.

Randy

I am a member of a Campground out in Rockey Mountain House and I personally don't have a quad **** YET **** LOL but there is a staging area there and I have talked too alot of guys there that have them.. They tell me there is trails from there all the way too Nordeg miles of them in the forestry so I would recomend there.... Gohst lake is another good area North Of Cochran AB.... Good Luck.

Hey ganch...Sorry to hear about your dad. I sincerely hope he gets better.

I don't know much about that area, but it looks like the guys have got you covered here.
