Here's something some people might be interested in. http://www.thewoodenbow.com/NALS_Bow_Making_Workshop.html
I wish I knew how to do a link, still learning this 'putor stuff. Anyways its a bow making workshop. Costs 400 bucks for the week and you go home with your own bow..........sounds fun. Unfortunately it's in B.C. so a bit of a drive. I dont know if I could spare the time it might cut into hunting in the fall. I'm kind of wondering if anyone was willing to teach a class in the calgary area.......would we be able to get enough people interested in going? Let me know if anyone is interested in making a longbow and if there's enough interest I'll try and find us an instructor.
