Great! Hopefully this site reaches its full potential and doesn't just re-hash stuff from the parent site or other canadian sites.

Welcome to Canada Bill Jordan!

I just checked out the site and it doesn't look too bad. I hope they cover all of Canada with stories from every province. Only time will tell.

Just be careful of what you ask for... Bill Jordan is in the business of buying as much land as he can possibly get and then closes it off to all hunters. He already owns almost all of the land on the US side of the Milk River and likely has plans to come into Canada since the gov't is in the business of quietly selling off all our public lands.

Just what we need. Another damn foreigner buying up good hunting grounds.

I have to agree, this is bad news especially with all the public land going up for sale. That is why they are moving into Canada. I think that it is best if we do not support these websites and keep the ones going like what we have here.

Most Canadians hunt for meat not trophies the trophy is just a bonus. One thing people don't relize is that these guys are ruthless business men with one thing in mind making money and they try to sugercoat their business as working class america.

I know because they have been up on our land in Northern Sask before.

Where is the Gov't of Canadan and CRTC when you need them??

Ok all of you. Let me set the record straight.

#1. The sale of public lands was only offered to ranchers. Not to the general public like most of you think. Furthermore, the rancher pretty much told the gov. to **** off. The way that this works is....they offer the land at a very, very low price, once a rancher has expressed interest in the purchase of the land and submitted a written proposal, they then put it out to tender to get more bids on the land. Yes, just like an auction. The lands that they are looking at selling, are where they have their grazing leases which are somewhere around $1.00 per year for "X" amount of cattle. The ranchers (smart ones) have pretty much told the gov. where to go on this one. Do you really think, that they would put in a bid and then be outbid by a Development company that has millions of $$ in the bank and access to more $$ so they can loose their lease to a bidding war. Not a chance.

2. All Realtree is trying to do is promote brand awareness of their product. If you have a look at all of your hunting gear, I bet 90% of it is American made product. We don't have the companies up here to produce the products that the US companies do. It's a hunting site, plain and simple. Brand awareness is what it's all about. Not a land grab.
