I am looking for a used (cheap) left handed, long action stock for a Remington model 700. Please help

The local gunsmith had a couple off of some BDL's. He also had a synthetic. He was asking about the same as a Ramline stock. What are you considering as cheap?

<$50.00 It doesn't have to be pretty, just not cracked. I need to cut it down for my small in stature, but still growing son.
