Hi everyone,
Following the death of my grandfather I have been left his traditional recurve bow and am looking to get some information on the bow. Living in the UK I can't find anything and info on the net is scarce it seems so thought there may be a Canadian expert who could advise.
The information I have on the bow is as follows:
Traditional recurve one peice bow
Bow was made by Les Dunsdon who was a Canadian bow maker (I believe).
The following detail is on the bow:
Les Dunsdon, Brantford Ont
#160
86003
34#@ 28"
66"
Deermaster
Now obviously the 34#@28" is the poundage of the bow at a 28" pull but what are the other details. could the 160# be the 160th bow of that design made? could the 86003 be something to do with the date of manufacture?
My Grandmother advised the bow is about 40 years old but if anyone can advise on any other details about the bow, the design / manufacture of Les Dunsden himself i'd really appriciate it.
Thanks
