are you asking about tanning or a rug? Strictly tanning a bear, NOT a rug will be considerably cheaper than a rug. There is a ton of work that goes into a rug. (and into tanning for that matter)

I just had a 5 1/2 foot bear, a coyote and a otter tanned at Western fur for around $300.00. but tanning is by the foot (I think)??:)

What is the difference between tanning and a rug? If it is tanned, how can I use it? For a blanket?

a rug will have an edge sewed on and the head will be mounted.
