Well I'm back from the National 3D Championship in Prince George. Who else from here went? The course was really good, very tricky. I was fairly dissapointed in my own performance.....actually I stunk the place up :? , finished about 50 points lower than my average for the year with rounds of 165, 165, 170 and 172 for a total of 672  . Oh well, geuss I'll have to figure out how to get to New Brunswick next year to redeem myself! So how bout it.....who went, what did you think and how did you do?

The courses were awesome! The Silvertip Archers put on one hell of an event! I did not shoot, as we were playing media types. I really wish I could have shot though. See ya all next year in New Brunswick!

I was there as you know Willy, and I stunk up the place even worse than you. I thought it was very well set up and the organizers did an awesome job and are to be commended for their efforts. It was a challenge for me as is shown by my pathetic scores, but it was a hell of a lot of fun. The only thing that I didn't like was the protest about the Delta targets. I know its the rules and all, but the ones that were protesting were probably the people with the scopes and magnifiers etc. The only comment I would have for anyone in the future is that seeing as there are 4 courses to choose from, put the women on one course, the traditonal style shooters on another, the MBR tpyes on another and the open shooters on the other. The first day out we started at target 17 and the next group, which were open shooters, sstarted at #1. By #13 we had caught up to them and were slowed down to a crawl. It was the same on Sunday. Yes the rules state 2 minutes per shooter per target, but I watched one young fellow take his 2 minute, and then some and then stand at the stake and admire his shot with his binos. I guess what I am trying to say is have a little consideration for the other people on the course.
Other than that it was an incredible weekend. Got to meet some very fine folk from across the country. The banquet was second to none. The food was incredible and our hosts were awesome.
Congrats to Silvertip for and excellent shoot.

I was there as well , and had a Blast. I shoot recurve, and I Improved my score each day. Met some fantastic people, made some new friends, and was glad to meet the bowzone fellers in person. The club in PG did a fantastic job, a Lot of thought and energy was put in to making it a very succesful weekend,. the weather held out Awsome as well. Will be in Quesnel for the Hunter prep shoot later this month.

Hi, We got back from PG at 2:30AM. Drove straight through to North Battleford. Had a great weekend. Silvertip Archers must be commended for such a super job! I really enjoyed the course, it was very challenging and scenic. Didn't put up my best scores. The old saying goes, "You get out of it what you put into it!" I haven't been shooting enough to put me back up in the top 5.
Hope everyone has a good year hunting this fall.

Hat's off to Silvertip archers. The club put alot of work into the shoot and that resulted in a class event. It was by far the best shoot I have ever been to, plus I got to meet and shoot with some great people over the weekend. It was well worth the 1600+km drive.
