NEED HELP

Just bought a Copper John Fourfinger release and having trouble setting it up.I keep flinching or holding it to long on the target trying to fire it than missing the target altogether.I know it's a backtension release but it's my first Whats the best way to grip my fingers around it. :(

dont clamp down on it, hold it semi loose while maintaning a consistent grip. kinda sounds like your trying to anticipate the release though. you don`t have to hold your pin solid on your target either, small circles are fine.
