I decided to build a layout blind. Got it half done and there it sits in the middle of my garage. I really should finish it, but I think I will just buy one.

Thanks Al. I will have a look. I take it that it is big enough for portly men such as ourselves.

Plenty big enough and lowest profile blind on the market to boot which is perfect for Alberta as we are not hunting corn like the USA guys!! If you look reall close behind the dead geese you can see the "powerhunters" both pic's the cockpit's are open withthem closed they are even lower by at least 12", these are couple pic's from last year with 3 man limit's of 24 honkers!!!http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/1742/065m.th.jpg (http://img269.imageshack.us/i/065m.jpg/)

Looks like you had a great hunt Al, can't wait to get home and bust a few birds. The snow geese are really starting to move here, none the first few days, now some big strings all day long. Wish this job was over.
Hope you have one of those new calls with my name on it, seems like your holding out!!
My Final Approach SUB last a grand total of four hunts before it broke, Avery all the way...
Was going to give you a call but even my cell phone doesn't work up here. Rogers sure has crappy service. Hope you saved a few birds for when I get back.

A couple of great hunts from this weeks installment of grinding geese with Bighorn. Thanks to Gary W for lining up one of the incredible hunts. My dog lost her mind trying to figure out which goose to bring back when they really started raining down.
Also a limit of puddle ducks from earlier in the week on a solo hunt.
